I saw a review for these socks where the heel had a hole in it and the reviewer said that the hole developed the first time he wore them. I was very skeptical and bought the socks anyway (assuming the guy had tried running a marathon in his socks)… Well, I wore my new socks for a day and both socks developed huge holes in the heel the first time I wore them. I’m a teacher, so am on my feet a lot, but not exactly a grueling day of full-on cardio. I’m sending them back. Read more

For years and years, these were my “go to” socks for everything, work and every day use. They were comfortable and fairly longlasting. However, the last batch I bought only lasted one or two uses before they got holes and the image shows after third or fourth use. I opened all these less than a month ago and I am now throwing away a sock every couple days. None of the remaining ones from the bag are “hole free”. I’m not in some industry where I wear them any harder than average. Sadly, I’m going to explore some other options. I’m not sure what the changes were, but they really slipped on the quality side. Maybe I got a bad batch, but I suspect there was a broader lapse in quality. Read more

I bought a bunch of these last year, and they were great, just right thickness/loft…. not too thick or thin. So after a year of use, last years socks are a bit thread bare…. time to get some new ones …. OK so I re-up on these, got them yesterday & am wearing them today…. Well Im not a happy camper, as these socks are a bit thinner in thread count than last years…. that’s right…. they are thinner and lighter…. not what I wanted! They are just too lightweight to make for a good summer work sock…. I would have to wear two pairs to get adequate foot protection for the kind of land clearing work I do in the woods – So – For me… they are good for nothing but wearing around the house – And… I will never order these socks again… No, these socks are not as they should be…. and I do not recommend them….. Unless of course, you want thin socks….. not everybody needs thicker socks suitable for outdoor work right? Anyways….. As you can tell I feel cheated, yeah it’s small potatoes…. but it cheeses me off anyway. Product Rating – 2 Stars… one for the money, two for the show – this review is over, should you buy? I say no! To the point: I’m a 67 year old retired logger here on the Oregon coast. I’ve worked most of my life in the woods. I know a well made pair of ‘heavy-duty’ work/boot sock when I see one, and these socks leave much to be desired. They are made of a light/thin fabric, and the stitching along the top of the socks (calf area) has been poorly done. I actually had to hand-sew (repair) one pair that was completely missing the stitching. – Bottom line: I WILL NOT purchase this brand again…at least not on Amazon. KNOCKOFFS..??? ~ Good luck and be aware. Read more

These sock’s are 100% garbage they are advertised as high impact cushion sole work sock’s and are more closely related to the wear once throw away sock’s at the dollar store , you would better served buying from a brick & mortar store Amazon doesn’t care about the quality of ANY of it’s product’s just the sale.. It’s time I rethink my relationship with Amazon..I’m growing weary of throwing good money away .. Read more

Since these Fruit of the Loom Men’s Work Gear Cushioned Crew Socks were aimed at someone who is pounding on their feet all day I really expected more comfort. Yes, they are cushioned, but the cushioned foot areas are not soft, but rather wiry and stiff. After 10 hours on my feet they kinda feel like I’ve been stomping around on sandpaper lined socks. I have no idea how durable they are, and probably won’t because that would require tolerating sandpaper socks for another many months. I was looking for an affordable, durable replacement for the Hanes socks I usually wear (I wear out a dozen in about 8 months), but these Fruit of the Loom Men’s Work Gear Cushioned Crew Socks are most definitely not it. My husband was down to two pairs of the only sock he wears (Fruit of the Loom grey cotton crew socks). We usually get them at Walmart but there have been none of these in stock for months. What were received were exactly those socks. They were perfect in every way. Read more

As usual I read the one star reviews. Those folks have unrealistic expectations for socks at this price range. I find them sufficiently soft/cushioned. They fit my 12 1/2 – 13 size feet. I don’t expect them to be as durable as my 15 year old Gold Toe socks. Or as cushioned as socks that go for one/two/three pairs at the same price. Read more
