The real fabric content is 98% polyester and 2% spandex. NO COTTON. LIARS! I didn’t return them because I started unpacking them. I will use them for dirtiest job once and then throw away. Don’t forget to “Report incorrect product information.” P.S. Why can’t I set 0 stars? Read more

Wake up Fruit of the Loom and Haynes! While Europe (along with the rest of the civilized world) moves to not just 100% cotton, but to 100% organic cotton socks – you two, the largest US manufacturers – abandon cotton. One cannot find a pair of 100% white cotton socks – ABSOLUTE SHAME! As if that’s not enough – why are we supposed to wear inch-thick socks in the summer time? For the hot summer, I want 100% cotton, white, thin (not an inch-thick!!!) socks. So – I buy them in Europe. I am sick and tired of polyethylene-mix, thick socks for red-necks… Read more

I would give these socks a pass. There are quality issues with the socks themselves and the product page misrepresents the materials of the actual received product. At the time of writing this review, the product page lists the fabric content of white and black socks as having 70% and 50% cotton content respectively. No white socks are included in this pack, which should have tipped me off if I’d been paying more attention. The actual fabric content, as listed on the product itself, is: 98% Polyester, 2% Spandex. In the second picture, you can see the quality issues in the knit of the toe. This is a particularly bad spot to have these issues because it receives a lot of wear from every-day use. The cream colored socks are the most heavily affected by this. Between the deceptive description, and the quality issues, I will be returning these. Read more

Many have left informative as well as opinionated reviews, so I will just state the facts about the socks I received. 1) 10 PAIRS of socks (two pairs of each color) for $9.90 all inclusive. ( For that price, I am keeping them) 2) I wear shoe size 10 and, at least prior to washing, they fit fine (tried on a sample, not every sock). 3)The actual fabric content, as listed on the product itself, is: 98% Polyester, 2% Spandex, Not the “White: 78% Cotton, 19% Polyester, 2% Other Fibers, 1% Lycra Spandex; Black: 50% Cotton, 49% Polyester, 1% Lycra Spandex” as stated in the ad at time of purchase. (minus one star) 4) Some puckering of the threads around the heal as observed by another, but not as bad, also worse on the tan socks. this seems to be mainly where the socks are creased (minus another star) Read more

Had three packs of these socks that i had used over past 5 years finally went threw them all. Was hoping these would be same quality. NOT. Socks are way thinner than old ones My old socks after several washes and wears are thicker than the new one out of the pack. Toe seam rubs toes raw. Absolute garbage. Read more

I purchased these before and I loved them, so when I needed more socks I naturally looked at my past order, found the order and reordered. They were out of stock so I even waited the few extra days it took for them to arrive. Much to my disappointment they are not the same socks. The original socks were thick and robust. These are slim and flimsy. This is the type of garbage you get when you go to a major retailer that will remain nameless in this review. These are also listed as Amazon’s choice. I used to trust that label….no more. I would return them….just not worth the bother at this point. I will just have to look elsewhere for quality. Read more

  8. Mike H. (Willow, Michigan)

I am a size 11&1/2, and the FOTL (Size: 6-12) could be just a little bit bigger. If you notice in the product picture the gray part should fit right where your heel should curve, it does not on my 11&1/2 inch feet. I took a pair right out of the bag and tried them on and the gray patch rests just above where my heel curves. The odd thing is the sock still fits, it’s just a tad tight. My feet are not narrow or wide, just a regular 11&1/2. The top cuff part is still visible while wearing my tennis shoes, as it should be. Solution-? Make the sock a little longer & drop the reinforced gray heel part down a couple of inches. Don’t get me wrong, I can and will wear these socks till they wear out. Since I have not washed them yet I will have to be careful and not let them stay in the dryer for too long, I know they will shrink down. The bag they came in say’s made in the USA, and 2015 on it. No mention of what percentage of cotton they are. The sock material does seem mostly cotton of a medium grade (Not too thick, not too thin) I needed some ankle socks and for $9.50 for 10 socks, hey, why not? – I have not had to buy any socks for years because when I did I would always buy the (bulk) value packs. Now years later, like everything else it seems, the product is cheaper & the price is higher (Thanks Recession…) All we can do now is read reviews & try to make the best informed decision possible. I am satisfied with these socks though- for 10 pairs for about a buck a piece, they will serve my purpose. I still just can’t believe how much socks have went up in price, and the good quality one’s cost way too much. Well, it looks like some things about the Good Old Day’s still remain true, and oh what the future will bring…. I hope this review will help you in making a good decision- God bless you & Good luck.
