I have been suffering from Plantar fasciitis for about 10 months with no relief. I have tried everything from many pairs of expensive shoes to orthotics. I have been unable to wear anything but tennis shoes with orthotics this entire time. I have been to a podiatrist and a foot and ankle specialist with no relief. I even tried cortisone injections. I was unable to wear sandals or flip flops all summer due to intense heel pain. My husband and I planned a cruise and I was determined to be able to wear flip flops. I finally broke down and bought these. i was a little skeptical because of the price. I wore these shoes exclusively for a week straight and walked many miles in them. I now have no heel or arch pain at all! These shoes somehow cured me. They are also pretty stylish for an orthotic sandal. I didn’t feel like they stood out. The black color is great. The base of the shoe is very ridged and provides great support. I will be looking into the rest of their line to order more. Read more

I have plantar fasciitis so I can’t wear cheap flip flops. This is the only brand I’ve found that cradle and support my heel and high arch and they come in wide width! I wear 9 1/2 wide shoes and these 9 wide fit perfect. Read more

I’ve suffered with plantar fasciitis & heel spurs on both feet for many years, despite orthotic insoles, tendon stretches, & compression foot sleeves. The pain had become so unbearable, I have to have orthotics on anytime I stand up. Wearing orthotic shoes indoors & outdoors at all times meant a good chance of developing athletes foot. So I researched orthotic flip flops and the Vionic brand was always at the top of every search result. They cost more than most other brands, but I was desperate for relief from the pain. I chose this particular style because of the thick platform soles (a definite must for my vicious heel spurs). Combined with the built in orthotics, chic styling, and modern look, I decided to make the purchase. My only regret was not buying them sooner. I’ve always had high arches since childhood. But after years of avid running & military service, my arches collapsed in March 2012 and I have been flat-footed ever since. But with constant use of these Vionic orthotic flip flops combined with daily stretching and tendon exercises, the curve in my arches are returning. Theses flip flops are the first thing I put on when I wake up and are the last thing I take off when I go to bed. Read more

I am a big fan of the Tide II flip flops so I decided to try the High Tide in the pink. And I love them too! With the higher platform, they feel a bit more cushiony- which I like! And they have the same great support for your feet! I decided to add a photo since there have been questions about what color the pink is. The pink High Tides are on the left. The right is Tide II in red. Read more

I have been wearing Orthaheels for 8 years or so. The original Orthaheels were so much better than the Vionics. The High Tide are different than any other Orthaheel foot bed. It is more firm like the original Orthaheels – which I like. The width of the foot bed is probably 1/4 of an inch narrower than the standard Tide shoe. The arch support is different. The arch runs the full width of the foot. So you have a higher arch than normal, but then the outside of you foot is also across from your arch also has a raised support. It takes some getting used to, so wear these in shorter walks to start or you could end up with foot pain or blisters. I don’t buy Vionics if I can avoid them, but I would buy them again. I miss the original Orthaheels, and keep looking for a brand replacement to match the originals. Read more

Awesome! Fits perfectly! I do have narrow feet, and ordered my usual size. They are very cushy. A little bit of a run at the toe so make sure you go a size up if you are at a half. Read more

I ordered a size 9, and it fit like a size 10. I went to Dillard’s and found the same shoe, so I tried it on in a size 8. The smaller size did not work either, because the arch support (which is very good) hit my feet in the wrong place making them very uncomfortable. I suppose if this thong came in half sizes that my problem would be solved. While the quality was very good, I returned them due to the lack of fitting correctly. Read more

I am a Vionics fan… well, I was a Vionics fan. I have multiple pairs of Vionics and love their fit… their style… and their customer support. However – these Vionics are a big disappointment. Fit – great. Style – nice (especially for flip-flops). BUT… I have had these sandals two months and the sides of the soles are completely shredded. And the footbed is coming up around the toe area. These flip-flops are far too expensive to look this bad in 2 months. I don’t hike in them… I live in the city and work as a designer. I shop. These look like they’ve gone on hikes and were worn at the lake. Vionics…. what happened? Read more
