  1. me

I have been a fool repeatedly. Over the past 10 years I have purchased about 6 Ironman watches and every time the band breaks. The watches have always been great with all the functionality that I need but the bands always deteriorate or in the last case don’t with stand a very hardy workout. The name Ironman is definitely not the proper name for these watches. Fool me no moreRead more

I have been wearing some version of this watch for 25 years now. The watches are great, the batteries last forever, the indiglo/light is super easy to read (along with the reflectiveness for low light. I don’t even think about water, and have definitely worn this watch snorkeling, water doesn’t touch it. This would be a 4.5 stars if allowed; the only thing keeping it from being a 5 star is the band gets loose, and breaks after a few years. usually the part that holds the “flap” first, then the part with the holes. You can buy replacement bands/ I usually just replace the watch because it’s $20 difference and saves me the hassle. Also as another commenter said, the numbers and letters tend to wear off; which is okay, but the time they do you know what the buttons do. I would wholeheartedly recommend this watch to anyone without hesitation, despite the band thing.Read more

Click through the various pics when selecting band color, etc and make sure you notice that some have faces that are dark and kinda hard to see. Some may like the darker face; some not.Years ago I was a Casio G-shock guy. They seemed bombproof and just amazing. Then after it finally died, I bought another one (really pricey one!) that within days was malfunctioning. So I returned it for another one…which also malfunctioned within days! :O All of my settings would just out-of-the-blue be scrambled to the wrong time, date, alarms gone, etc. It was as if the watches had done a factory reset on their own or something. So that led me to the Timex Ironman. It was awesome! Eventually after I had cosmetically nearly destroyed one after years of abuse, I decided to get a new one. Literally within less than 48hrs, it did the same thing the Casio G-shocks did! It had reset itself to the year 2016, times were all wrong, etc. So I just now took it back and swapped it for a new one. My own conclusion is that both Casio and Timex have some quality issues. If you happen to get a good one, it will probably serve you extremely well for years to come! But it would be a good idea to keep the receipt for awhile until you’ve figured out that yours is one of the good ones.Read more

Great watch! This is my 3rd one of these and it doesn’t look like Timex is ever going to stop making them. It’s still their #1 best seller and my favorite of all the Ironman variants. If you want to have a nice looking Watch that you can beat up and not ruin, you could do a lot worse than this one.Pros:• Perfect Size for Working Out. Doesn’t rub (and “BEEP”) on the wrist band of my Weight lifting Gloves• Has multiple Alarms to remind you to pick up your kids, take them to Gymnastics, etc. Very handy for Parents• Great Indiglo Back Lighting that actually works• 2 Time Zones easily Toggled with a big Gray Button on the front. Great for switching between Daylight Savings and Back again• Battery lasts over 5 yearsThere really aren’t any “Cons”. It does exactly what I want a Watch to do. If you get a Warehouse Deal (they always have them) you can get one for 24 bucks with PRIME Shipping and the only thing wrong with it is the packaging is marred in some way. I also kind of like that it’s an American company and I like that it’s a Timex. It’s a humble, reliable, hard working brand. I’m proud to wear it.Read more

This is a great watch. It’s very easy to set the time and keeps very accurate time. I love the feel when wearing it, as it is unnoticeable after a few minutes because there is practically no weight to it. The polymer band and casing are just what what I wanted. I have had the metal bands and casing that add weight and offer no more protection than this. The metal always scratches and leaves a black ring around my arm when worn in hot places while doing anything. This doesn’t. I love how the crystal is recessed to protect the face from somes hits and scratches. The display is a great size that I can read without my glasses and at a glance. The size is great, not small and not to big. The price and fact that it is an Ironman, make this watch that much more desirable. I only wanted to know the date and time, so probably will rarely, if ever, use the other functions. But, they are there if needed. The backlight has the perfect brightness and only lights the numbers instead of the entire face, which is very pleasing to the eye. I do recommend this watch. No, I did not get this watch for free. I bought it at Amazon’s price and would do so again. Love it.Read more
