I started buying New Balance shoes in 1990 because they were made in the USA and had the wide size that I need. I’ve worn the same size New Balance shoe since then without any problems. Unfortunately, New Balance now manufactures shoes overseas, and Quality Control has gone way down. Of the Four Pair of New Balance shoes I’ve purchased online this year, only two fit. The third pair was substantially too small and narrow, by as much as a whole size, and I couldn’t get my foot into it. This pair (#4) was strange because the right shoe fit fine, but the left shoe was too small/narrow, like it was marked “wide” but really was a standard width. I’ll probably go back to buying shoes at a store where I can try them on — but at least Amazon offered free returns on these shoes, so it was only a minor hassle. Read more

These were delivered on the 17th of Feb. It is now the 14th of May and I only wear the to take the dogs on a 2 mile walk. With less then 100 miles on the shoes, the tread is almost completely worn out. I will not be buying this model again. Read more

Original review is in quotes below, when I rated them at three stars: I discovered the squishy sound coming from these shoes was from the Dr. Scholls inserts I put into all my new shoes. When I changed that insert, the squish disappeared. These are still as comfortable as the first day I put them on, and I have over thirty miles of walking in them so far. So they are very quiet and oh, so comfortable for walking. And I’m still a New Balance fan. “I love New Balance. This shoe is as comfortable as any walking shoe I have (all New Balance), but they squish very loudly with each step. It’s even worse indoors, especially on wood or tile floors. I’ll continue to wear them because of the comfort level, but I won’t get another of this model. No noise from any of my other NB shoes, and I have had at least a dozen.” Read more

I would give the product 5 * but it’s a little bit narrow compared to other New Balance shoes of the same size and width. It feels a little bit snug, but still comfortable enough to keep it. One reviewer said the toe box is too big, but actually it is smaller compared to another New Balance walking shoe and a New Balance training shoe I have, both of which are exactly the same size according to New Balance ranking system. New Balance needs to exercise a little more oversight of its Asian shoe assembly businesses. Read more

I wear an 8 1/2 shoe in the more expensive U.S. made New Balance and had to get a 9 in these. To me these are 1/4 size smaller. It is very light and feels good wearing. The cloth material is soft and looks good unless you pull your shoe stings tight, then it causes wrinkles in the material. I like my shoes a little loose so this is OK with me. I also wear orthotic inserts so I cant tell you about the cushioning in the step of the shoe. All in all, I like the shoe. Read more

I’ve worn nothing but New Balance or Nikes for years now partly because they have the best arch support and cushioning in the soles. These continue that trend. The only thing I’ve noticed is that I’ve had to go from size 11 to 11.5. Don’t know if it’s them or me. Read more

It took buying four pair to find one pair to fit properly. I am not new to New Balance and I did not have my feet replaced recently. Why are New Balance sizes all over the map? My best guess is the place of manufacturing is using a child to make these. I’ve been buying New Balance Men’s Sneakers for about 20 years now. I’ve always bought 13 or 14 EE and they fit great. This time was different, I tried out 13 EE and 14 EE and 13EEEE and ended up with a 14 EEEE. I can’t say I’m happy with the wide spread in sizing of New Balance Sneakers I tried this time. Maybe it’s time to try a new brand. The pair that fit okay is just okay in comfort, doesn’t seem to have an arch and to be honest, it doesn’t feel like it will last as long as previous pairs have lasted. I do like the style and look of this New Balance Men’s Ralaxa V1 Walking Shoe. Read more

The shoe itself is awesome. Fits like typical New Balance would. Great support for supination and comfortable insole. Was supposed to be delivered on 5/27 when purchased and charged. Four days prior to delivery, expected date was changed to 5/31. Actually delivered 5/30. Wish Prime delivery would keep their promised dates. Read more
